Grade 1

According to GOST 26 002−83, Grade 1 is the highest grade. It is used for the production of joinery with high appearance requirements, window frames, flooring and other finishing materials. Timber with defects such as blue stain, rot, loose knots and cracks does not qualify for this grade. Sharp wane is also not permitted

Grade 2

This grade is distinguished by a greater fiber slope compared to Grade 1. Small pitch pockets may be present on the surfaces. Products may have minor fungal discoloration and small stains. This grade is used in construction, for building wooden houses, manufacturing roof truss systems, floor bases and exterior cladding

Grade 3

The presence of a double core or wormhole is permitted in any area. Lumber of this grade is suitable for the construction of temporary structures and small sheds, the production of pallets and various packaging. It is also used for the production of fences and barriers

Grade 44

This grade has almost no restrictions on defects and is used for general purposes — for installing subfloors, scaffolding, and sometimes for cargo crating. It can also be used in private furniture production or wooden packaging. Each piece of lumber must be solid, and the majority of its surfaces must be processed
